This site allows you to access specific ahimsa information. Helpful tips, tricks, and suggestion about ahimsa.

Yoga foundation, Part 2: Ahimsa (non injury)

Ahimsa: non-violent, non-injury, non-injury

In his Yoga Sutras, Vyasa comment [Vyasa is India's largest teachers, one of the authors of the Mahabharata (including the Bhagavad Gita), Brahma classics, as well as the Vedic codifier. ] Started killing the explanation: “No, there is no way a means of harm and the time will not harm any living creature.” Expand this Shankara said the killing was “can not afford to, rather than a fashion, so that all the animals harm.” It would be including the speech or thought and obvious harm to the conduct of harm, and further Shankara said: “No harm should be in every body, speech and mind ability in practice.” We found that anger against the claims that Jesus established this principle is murder (Matthew 5:21,22) form, and students who said in a statement of love, hatred is murder. (John 3:15)

Even a simple understanding of the legal retribution, legal and sowing harvest (Galatians 6:07), let us achieve the killer to the murder of dire consequences. As Vyasa explains: “killers to eliminate injuries, the fight against gun illness, and then he had torn from life. Because he was deprived of another spirit and support their own lives, living or dead, is being undermined. Because he has caused He has his own pain, the pain …. because he has another tear of life, he lives to live in every time he wanted to die because of illness levy as the work of their own right, even though he died of respiratory gasped. “

Ahimsa explained in many ways, it is not surprising, because Sanskrit is associated with a number of possible meaning of a word full of language. But basically do not will not have any harm to any animals, including non-human species, for any damage. (Ahimsa are not normally considered related to plant life and minerals, but the destruction of life would be a prank killing act, in part because it will ultimately have the destructive effects of animal life, also.) To achieve these objectives is clear, violence, injury, or kill the yoga unthinkable. Vyasa display as soon as possible, all the people, and warned that abstinence mountains and Niyama, which is actually rooted in the killing, because they involve not prevent the occurrence of the risk and, through their own actions or negative or positive behavior of others ignored.

“Another niyamas and in this root Yamas, their practice is to bring it to its peak, not only to enhance the [ie killing]. Professors, they are only as a means to purity of. So, said:” Whether a number of people swear Brahman [God] will do, as long as he drives to avoid damage to the delusion that if he brought a killing in its purity. “” The Shankara explained that Vyasa refers to the “root cause of violence and the illusion of violence.”

Ahimsa including acts of strict abstinence of all forms of harm to speak, or the brain. Violence, verbal and physical, must be avoided. This includes any anger or malicious damage or misuse of in-kind class.

Ahimsa is a state of mind, not to harm the country will naturally continue. “No harm truly reflects the attitudes and understanding of the fundamental unity of living beings the basis of behavior, saying:” Taimni modern commentators. Shankara said that when the killing, and others see “can not hurt normal operation.” Self in itself become a “dangerous” to include non-functioning state. And meditation, it is too late. However, until the establishment of the country’s internal, we must strive for the mind to come back, away from all acts that harm their own.

In fact, we can not live in this world there is no harm to animals, many times. A simple operation, we breathe to kill many small creatures, it was decided every step we take. In order to maintain a healthy body constant danger of the bacteria, bacteria and viruses of war. Thus, at the end of the killing can only be observed in the spirit of the perfect state. However, we have an obligation to do as little as possible in our lives possible external damage. Jia Nanda, in his autobiography, Yogananda tells us that her teacher, Swami Yukteswar Giri said the killing was a desire to hurt the case.

Despite its many consequences, a candidate must be recognized that yoga and abide by Ahimsa should include the eating of meat in any form or degree strict abstinence.

Although this issue is strange disappearance of any Yoga Sutras, I read, comment on the non-injury in their own yoga practice is very important. In other words, yoga should be thinking, language, without or against the body, mind, or mental behavior. This requires a lot of abstensions, meat (including fish and eggs are abstinence), alcohol, nicotine, and any mental or emotional changes, including caffeine substances. On the other hand, it requires to what body, mind, advantages, and spirit, who is also a form of negligence, such as non-self-inflicted injuries, and any Hades or niyamas compliance. This is not a simple thing is yoga.

Basic Yoga, Part 1: Yama and Niyama

A prerequisite for yoga

“Knowledge (Wise) does not come to the methods of the individual yoga practice. Knowledge of the sound, but only for those based practice (sermon) begins. <em>, But there is no yoga as a means of knowledge can not be around.” / Time ” means the practice of yoga does not mean in itself, but only because it was a perfect knowledge of the purpose of yoga. Therefore, the teacher said: “Yoga is the purpose of understanding the truth ‘” It writes: Shankara.

All the other things, the remaining part is, everything that is supported by the other. This is because the foundation is necessary. When he was the main supporter of all things, and only God who out of these needs. Yoga, then, also need support. As Gert said that the presentation Teleifulai the Yoga Sutras Shankara commented: “These are the people in the world, which must first be removed, and then stabilize, he was angry spirit of fantasy, making yoga and freedom from the struggle of his life.” Patanjali very heart comprehensive care and support needed by the pursuit of those elements, so about how to ensure the success of yoga valuable information.

First Yoga Sutras, says: “Today <em>” / time “Yoga Expo,” which means that some leading personality in the consciousness and the forms of development needed, and yoga. These prerequisites can be considered the backbone of yoga, and as Yama and Niyama are well known.

<strong> Yama and Niyama “/ strong”

Yama and Niyama are often referred to as the “Ten Commandments of Yoga.” Each of which 5 Notes (Yama), one of five to (kuh) is a support for the liberation yoga column. Yama means self-discipline of self-awareness, master, against, or refrain from holding back, five parts. Niyama means celebration, which is five. Here is Yoga Sutras 2:30,32 see the complete list of these 10 columns:

1) Ahimsa: non-violent, non-invasive, harmless

2) Satya: truth, virtue, honesty and

3) Asteya: non-stealing, truthfulness, non-misappropriativeness

4) brahmacharya: sexual urine in thought, word and action, and control all the senses

5) aparigraha: non-possessive, non-greed, non-selfish and detrimental to

6) Shaucha: pure, clean

7) Santosha: live in peace, peace

Snacks: simplicity, practical (eg, causing the production of) the spirit of discipline

9) Swadhyaya: reflective self-study, spiritual study

10) Ishwarapranidhana: the life of one of God offered

This is the inherent power of humanity or with abstinence and obedience, will develop and publish this power, and is not used for our spiritual perfection, our self-realization and liberation.

10 This restriction (Hill) and warnings (Niyama) is not optional candidate yoga, or the most advanced yoga, or. Shankara very strong country, said: “The following basic qualifications Hill and Niyama yoga.” Mere desire to aspirations and goals of yoga is not enough, so he went on: “Education is not just that we want to practice yoga, to the sacred text says:” But he was not the first crime declined, which was not calm, gentle, or his heart is not broken, and will not be through self-knowledge. (Ao Kata Upanishad 1.2.24), and Atta FAT text: “Who are the people who fasted [strong discipline] and brahmacharya [virginity], the truth is to regulate. (Prashna Upanishad 1:15) in the song: ‘promise in brahmacharya . (Bhagavad Gita 6: 14), so hill and Niyama is the method of yoga “itself is not just a complement or AIDS, are optional.

At the same time, yoga exercises, yoga to help aspire to follow the necessary tools and Niyama Hill, so he should not take action to stop yoga now that he had to wait until he’s “good” or “net-net of the action – His “to practice yoga. No. He had to steady the mountains, Niyama, Yoga at the same time. Success will be hers.
